The other very important factor to consider is the type and weight of load you wish to carry. Our box trailers start at 750kg Agregate Trailer Mass (ATM) unbraked. If you need to carry more than this you will have to upgrade to a braked and possibly a tandem trailer. Remember the ATM includes the load carried and the weight of the trailer itself.

Single Axle Light Duty trailers have 10” flat sides, smooth floor, smooth guards, three leaf springs and two side tie rails. Drawbar is extended right back to the spring hangers for extra support and the trailers have full length chassis and full width cross member and a spare wheel bracket.
Single Axle Medium Duty trailers have 13” sides with smooth floor, smooth guards with gussets, four leaf springs and two side tie rails. Drawbar is extended right back to the spring hangers for extra support and the trailers have full length chassis and full width cross member and a spare wheel bracket.
Single Axle Heavy Duty trailers include 13” or 21" pressed side panels, 4 tie rails, smooth floor/smooth guards with gussets OR checker plate floor/checker plate guards with gussets, five leaf springs, heavier drawbar extended right back to the spring hangers for extra support and the trailers have full length chassis and full width cross member and a spare wheel bracket.
Heavy Duty Tandem Box trailers come with 13” or 21”high sides, checker plate floor or zinc anneal floor & checker plate guards or zinc anneal guards, zinc anneal side panels to prolong the life of the trailer & provides further protection from corrosion. Full box chassis, heavy duty 3 way drawbar extended right back to spring hangers not just 400mm or 500 mm under the box and the trailers have full length chassis and full width cross member. Solid 45 mm square axle with mechanical override disk brakes & LED lights and a spare wheel bracket.

At Austrailers our car trailers are built to quality not quantity by using 100 x 50 x 3mm Rhs drawbar brought right back to the spring hangers not just 400 mm under the deck & with a centre beam for bracing. Full RHS chassis rails and full width cross members, extra upright post for extra support on our trailers with top rails. On our 2 tonne ATM trailers we use 45 mm solid square axles with ford bearings not hollow axles. Our guards are filled in with sheet metal for protection. We use proper lash ring for your tie downs. Comes standard with LED lights.
